Working with herbarium collections, we will first need to gather herbarium materials  with a balanced phylogenetic and geographic sampling scheme. We will then work on extracting DNA, preparing samples for sequencing, analyzing data, and constructing a phylogeny for the Impatiens genus with a focus on Tanzanian species.
