As a rising senior biology major at Carleton College, I probably should have decided which field within biology is most interesting to me, but I have not. Genetics, entomology, and agriculture are all very interesting to me. Luckily for me, my internship is in plant genetics, which links two of those fields! I will be investigating the population genetics of Isoetes butleri, an endangered member of the lycopods (the "most primitive" division of vascular plants).
