Post-doctoral conservation researcher
Negaunee Institute for Plant Conservation Science and Action
Hi! My name is Nick, and I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Chicago Botanic Garden studying pollinator ecology and conservation. One key part of this work is working to understand how pollinators use cities, and what influences the pollination services they provide to plants across Chicago. I am particularly fond of wild bees (those that do not live in a hive or make honey), and learning how they complete their life cycles within the city. Another key part of this work is engaging and empowering diverse audiences through community education.
