I'm a postdoc supported by an NSF PRFB fellowship to study how floral trait evolution reflects ecological drivers and the process of speciation at early stages. I got my PhD from the Program in Plant Biology and Conservation at Chicago Botanic Garden and Northwestern in 2021, and my research uses genomic and field-based ecological approaches to understand how flowers evolve and generate new species. I'm particularly interested in the role of pollinator-mediated selection in plant evolution, and much of my work focuses on the beautiful and enigmatic paintbrushes (Castilleja). In my free time, I enjoy baking sourdough bread, sitting on patios, and providing a lap for sleepy cats.
