Graduate student in the Plant Biology and Conservation program
Northwestern University and Chicago Botanic Garden
I am a first year Master's student in the PBC program through Northwestern University and the Chicago Botanic Garden. My thesis research focuses on reconstructing the phylogeny of Schiedea, a Hawaiian genus, by including allele variation to attempt to unravel the evolution of dioecy and the diverse breeding and pollination systems found in this genus. I am from the Bay Area and graduated from Oberlin College in 2016. In my free time, I enjoy doing botanical illustration, making jewelry, hiking and running, and going to all kinds of museums.
